Mrs Harrington gets the best from Fairy Wing
On the fifteenth outing of his life and on his second start for Jessica Harrington, Fairy Wing turned division two of the jogforjockeys.ie Handicap at Bellewstown into a procession under Fran Berry.
Getting to the front inside the final quarter mile, the Hawk Wing gelding, equipped with cheek-pieces, soon had this contest in the bag as he sauntered clear to account for Mooretown Boy by five and a half lengths with the gambled-on Xsquared fourth and the morning market-mover The Gnathologist unplaced.
Fran Berry said: "That was the worst of the two divides. From the wide draw I got round well but it was a weak race.
"He picked up well and if the handicapper doesn't get carried away there should be some fun to be had with him."
