The BetVictor Proud To Support Irish Racing Maiden Hurdle saw a smart performance from My Mate Mozzie (11/8).
The winning point-to-pointer, who landed a bumper at the festival here in April, made all and jumped really well for Sean Flanagan on his first start over flights.
The Born To Sea gelding went away from 4/5 favourite Barbados in the straight to score by an easy eight lengths and was given a quote of 50/1 by Paddy Power and Betfair for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.
Winning trainer Gavin Cromwell said: “He’s a lovely horse and likes a bit of nice ground. He looks a nice Festival horse.
“I haven’t really formed a plan but maybe something like Leopardstown with some nice ground at Christmas and then the spring. I wouldn’t like to run him on heavy ground.
“He’s a very straight forward horse and has been very good from day one. He does everything professionally.”
