Mountain keeps the ball rolling
The Frank Oakes owned/trained/bred Mountain Coral landed back to back wins at Dundalk tonight, providing winning jockey Niall McCullagh with his 14th win of the year.
The gelding, previously successful over this six furlongs trip last September, raced prominently before moving through to lead two furlongs out, staying on for a half length win over Absa Lutte
Afterwards Kildare based Oakes, father of former trainer Irene Oakes and a father-in-law of jockey Barry Cash, reported "I bred, broke, own and train Mountain Coral so I am obviously delighted! I've no immediate plans but he will probably run in a handicap over five, six or seven furlongs next."
