Mosstown takes Dundalk finale
Mosstown seen winning over hurdles in 2009

The concluding Leucillin On Facebook Handicap at Dundalk tonight went the way of the Jessica Harrington trained Mosstown which held on for a narrow win over Horsofadifrentcolr
Ridden by Pat Smullen, replacing Johnny Murtagh (was was absent due to a dental issue, see earlier story, the gelding raced prominently before moving to the front two furlongs out, eventually staying on well for an all-out win.
Harrington was not present for the win but Smullen did later say “Mosstown stuck at it well and going further would probably be a help to him – staying won the day. He is a very fit horse and got to the line well.”
