Mortar pays Maxwell back
Bulls And Mortar ended a long losing streak when taking the handicap chase at Tramore this afternoon.
Conor Maxwell was gaining compensation after suffering injury when falling from the gelding last October.
Eoghan O'Grady 's charge led coming to the second last and stayed on well to post a two-and-a-half length winning margin over Loch Na Beaste
"We've been waiting a long time for that," said O'Grady afterwards.
"He won a point-to-point and a maiden hurdle at Cork (in November '06) but he's a long time winning one since.
"Conor broke both his wrists off this horse last October so he owed him that. He'll go for something similar."
