General Brook beats Silver Lightening as Late Rosebud hasn't much room near the line

Still basking in the glow of Galileo Rock's third placing in the Epsom Derby last Saturday, David Wachman and Wayne Lordan added to their Naas gains from Monday with Love And Cherish, when General Brook landed the Follow Fairyhouse On Twitter Median Auction Maiden.
Best for money here as the 2/1 market-leader, General Brook, a half-brother to that real good racemare, Tannery, got up in the last strides to beat Silver Lightening by a neck.
Afterwards Wachman stated: "He's won by the skin of his teeth. I'm not sure where we'll go from here. He's run well over seven furlongs twice.
"There are no real plans."
Meanwhile on Galileo Rock the Longfield Stud operator remarked: "He has come out of the Derby well. We'll see how he is in the next few weeks before making any plans but he's in everything." (AM & EM)
