Captain Joy completed a hat-trick of wins at Dundalk this evening when taking the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Race under Pat Smullen.
Smullen had to work on the grey son of Dark Angel, edging him ahead close home for a half length win over Custom Cut with the same distance back to Billyford
Afterwards winning trainer Tracey Collins stated “Captain Joy is a model of consistency and is in the Lincoln and we'll also put him in the Irish Lincoln.
“He needs good ground and in time we'll step him up (in trip) - he was giving weight to some smart horses there and is the sort of horse who always seems to get there.”
