Caoimhe’s Delight completed the full set of National Hunt victories in a point-to-point, bumper, hurdle and a chase when successful in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase under Adrian Heskin.
Making her debut under rules over fences and supported on track from 11/4 into 9/4 favourite, the half-sister to Golantilla asserted in the straight to beat Pipers Glory (33/1) by four and a half lengths. Lough Roe Lady (12/1) was a further three and three quarter lengths back in third.
Winning trainer Sean O’Brien said, “She was entitled to win there on her form, and she’ll stay over fences now. She will go for those Graded mares races along the line, and it’s another nice boost for the pedigree.”
Heskin commented, “She will be a lovely mare for next winter, and you need a good leaper to win around here.
"She was real good and there was plenty left in the tank."
