Trainer Arthur Moore will have taken some encouragement from the win of his Authinger in the opening Lisaleen Schooling Grounds Maiden Hurdle, ahead of Organisedconfusion's Aintree Grand National bid.
Jockey Barry Cash was patient on the son of Sadler's Wells producing him with perfect timing to lead at the final flight, eventually staying on well to defeat White Feathers
Moore was understandably absent while the winning Irish Shamrocks Syndicate was recording its first winner. The syndicate, formed last January, with Authinger being its first horse, has eight members ranging from Dublin, Meath, Kerry and Waterford.
