Moonshine Lad justified 1/2 favouritism in style when winning the Signsplus Maiden Hurdle at Limerick today, for trainer Gordon Elliott and jockey Keith Donoghue.
The son of Milan was an unlucky loser when falling on his previous run but showed no ills affects under Donoghue, recording an easy nine lengths win over Highbrow Blue
Elliott was absent with Mount Benbulben later due to run in the King George VI Chase at Kempton but Donoghue later mentioned “he did it easily but would be much better in a better type. He wasn't doing a whole pile in front but has plenty pace.”
