Mocklershill battles best
Coming off a 126 day break, Mocklershill on his second start for Gillian Lee, sprung a 16/1 surprise in the Ballyhale Handicap Hurdle under Paddy Flood. The grey led three out and stayed on best to see off Theribtickler by two and half lengths.
Lee said: "I'm thrilled. That's a fair relief. That's only his second run for me, he was with Eric Mc before me. We nearly lost him after being involved in a crash one day on the way home from galloping him in Tommy Stacks. Dave Barry from Limerick owns him."
It was almost a year to the day that Limerick-based Lee recorded her last winner, Somalia Road in Tralee in late September 2008.
Favourite here, Visit Wexford pulled up before three out and was reported to have burst a blood vessel.
