- Miss Coco too good for Wexford rivals
Miss Coco too good for Wexford rivals
Miss Coco upstaged some better fancied rivals in the opening Ingard Point Maiden as the daughter of Galileo proved three parts of a length and one and a half lengths superior to big outsiders, Mr Shinco and Mutiska
Wayne Lordan sported the silks of Lady L idlaw of Rothiemay on this David Wachman-trained winner.
Stable representative, Ahmed Malik said: "She was a bit green at the start, she'll improve for the run and she'll go for a better race next."
Meanwhile Lordan commented: "She stays well and that's why she came here - for the trip (an extended mile and three furlongs). She'll improve as she is still green. To win was a bit of a surprise as we thought she might take the run."
The first four in the betting - Doux Douce Keraloun (the 5/2 joint favourites), Louisville Lip and Faranadooney all ran well below expectations, the best they could manage being sixth place.
