Jockey Shane Foley completed another multiple milestone at Dundalk this evening when completing a double on the John McConnell trained Minot Street in the concluding Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk Handicap.
Foley rode four winners at the same venue on Friday having ridden three on his previous day's racing at Leopardstown on Sunday week (October 26) and added to that impressive tally with both Whaileyy and Minot Street today.
Following Minot Street's easy four and a half lengths win, McConnell joked “I was shouting at Dusty (Shane Foley) a furlong out to pull up!
“You wonder how he got beaten here on Friday night and maybe the step up in trip suited.
“He's turned into a different horse this year and has strengthened and it's a lesson in giving a horse time. He is genuine, although he has the gear on but just hangs a bit left.
“He might get hammered for this so we'll play it by ear. He's big enough and stays so might go hurdling at some stage.”
