Minimum Fuss for Finisk Rose
Kilbeggan regulars will remember David Kiely and Ruby Walsh teaming up twice to score with Karlo in chases here in 2005 and 2006 and the Waterford trainer employed the services of the champion jockey to steer Finisk Rose home an easy winner of the Loghanure Mares Maiden Hurdle.
The 6/4 favourite was in front away from three out and she soon had her rivals measure as the grey strode clear for an eleven length success. Kiely said, "Her dam is a half-sister to Cooldine so it was important to get a win which will be the first of many I hope. She is a super leaper and she will now go to Tralee and or Listowel." (EM)
