Mic Milano (7/1), a course winner at Ballinrobe already, supplied Tom Brett with his second winner when landing the spoils in the Hollymount Nursing Home Handicap Hurdle.
There was an exciting conclusion to this extended two mile one furlong contest and in the end Mic Milano had just a nose in hand over the pace-setting Duty Dance
They left Our Boy Ben all of thirty six lengths back in third.
However the real drama had occurred when Babanango challenging and every chance at the time, fell at the last.
John Ryan trains Mic Milano for Edmond Murphy.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Long Journey Home trained by Rodger Sweeney, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
S.E. Butler, rider of Black Ice trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.
