McNamara has the winning Rhythm
Amateur jockey Robbie McNamara partnered his first winner at Laytown today, when steering He’s Got Rhythm to a 1-2 for trainer David Marnane in the Ladbrokes.com QR Handicap.
McNamara produced the top weight to lead under two furlong out before running out a three and a half lengths winner over stablemate Qadar
Afterwards Marnane joked “I would have preferred a dead-heat (with Qadar) but I’ll settle for this!”
“He’s Got Rhythm is a lovely, tough horse who goes on any ground and most tracks – I’d like to bring him back here again next year. Robbie (McNamara) gave He’s Got Rhythm another super ride, he’s like a machine.”
