McNamara Continues Good Run
Eric McNamara, narrowly denied a double at Limerick yesterday, kept the momentum going when sending out course and distance winner, Faltering Fullback to land odds of 9/10 (from 6/4 in a place) in the Moycarkey Hurdle.
Paddy Flood took it up on Faltering Fullback three out and he had the measure of Crerum and Oscar Shine at the last when the latter departed. He then went on to account for the front-running Crerum by three lengths.
McNamara commented: "He did it well. I have seen him work better at home, but after all the tests he was one hundred percent in every way. Paddy says he wants half a mile further and hopefully there will be more improvement to come. He should have a bright future over fences." (EM)
