Cashel trainer Hilary McLoughlin's excellent form continued at Dundalk today as her Howyoulikethat (5/2) won the Story Of Dundalk Apprentice Handicap and provided jockey Jake Coen with a double.
McLoughlin recorded a double at the track last Friday and today sent out her third horse, from four, to win this month with Howyoulikethat, a comfortable two lengths winner from The Bog Bank
McLoughlin's partner Martin Ferris later reported "he ran a nice race the last day and today did what we thought he would do.
"Jake (Coen) gave him a lovely ride - he said he got caught a bit flat early and picked up lovely. He got pushed a bit wide turning in but quickened up nice and well.
"Jake said he might benefit stepping to 1m2f and that would open up our options for the grass. He'll be out again soon on nice ground, perhaps in a fortnight."
"He was previously with Gavin Cromwell and there is a syndicate (Top Five Syndicate) that have him now and are local to Cashel.
"The stable is going great and we have seven or eight to run. It is a family affair at home and Hilary does all the work with this lad, she's mad about him.”
Jockey Coen was earlier successful on the Kieran Cotter trained Ocean Vision in the opening juvenile maiden.
