After his win in the opener with the Shane Foley-ridden Ken's Sam's Ado McGuinness doubled up in race two at Dundalk, the Lucky Number 26 @ Ace Casino Kildare Town Claiming Race, through odds-on victor Georgian Bay
Yuften was a non-runner as he was lame and the Tom Madden-partnered Georgian Bay was backed from 9/10 into 4/6.
The odds-on shot had to work hard but he eventually got it done in this mile event by a length from Sheisdiesel
Said McGuinness: "It took him a while to win for us. He was very consistent last year and won a rated race before Christmas. Tom gets on real well with him. The plan was to make it or sit as handy as possible and kick early and that’s exactly what he did.
“He’s a real fun horse. We bought him for ten grand last year and he’s in (to be claimed) for nine. He’s won plenty of money and the boys have got good fun out of him.
“If he’s not claimed he’ll run away. My assistant Stephen Thorne set it (Shamrock Thoroughbreds) up and they have four horses although different lads are involved in different horses.”
There were no claims for any of the horses afterwards.
