McCourt and Curtis off the mark
Tom McCourt was in the winners enclosure this evening after winning The Killetra Handicap with Rue De Cabestan with Ben Curtis doing the steering for owners The Elm Court Developments Ltd.
Tom McCourt said, "She is a tough filly. The last day 1m 2f on heavy ground was a bit tough on her being a 2 year old. That's probably ideal today 1m with a cut in the ground."
Kaitlin's Joy of Pat Martins was backed from 5/2 into 11/8 on track but only finished 7th. There were also two casualties in the race Andrew McNamara's Rachel's Rocket pulled up injured and Willie Mullins Miss Fancy That slipped up inside final furlong rider Danny Mullins is ok but the horse appeared to have broken a leg.
