Maybe impresses in Debutante Stakes victory
Maybe maintained her 100% record as she ran out an impressive winner of the Group 2 Keeneland Debutante Stakes for the father and son team of Aidan and Joseph O’Brien.
Sent off a strong 5/4 favourite, the daughter of Galileo hit the front two furlongs out and soon asserted, staying on well to beat Yellow Rosebud (7/1) by two and a half lengths. Lightening Pearl at 16/1 ran a nice race to finish third a further head back, with Rubina fourth.
On her second start she won the Listed, Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot, last time out she won the Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown and having won a Group 2 today, the pattern suggests a Group 1 victory is next on the cards.
Winning trainer Aidan O’Brien said: "I'm delighted with that. She will go for the Moyglare (Moyglare Stud Stakes over the course and distance on August 28th) next.
"Joseph was very happy with her at Leopardstown, even though she only won by half a length. I was afraid of that ground before going to Royal Ascot as well so she obviously has no problem with it."
Boylesports make her 5/1 favourite from 7/1 for next year's 1,000 Guineas.
