Maundays makes all
Maundays Bay produced a game front-running performance to open her account in the seven-furlong maiden at Dundalk.
Wayne Lordan bounced the 11/8 favourite out in front from stall three and she took them along.
David Wachman 's charge had to work hard as challengers lined up from early in the straight. The daughter of Invincible Spirit stuck to her task well, inside the final furlong, to hold the late challenge of Adiynara by half a length.
The runner-up edged right under pressure inside the final furlong, doing no favours to fourth-placed Style Margi
"She's a grand filly. She was very green in front. She was looking at everything and changing her legs," said Wachman afterwards.
"There should be a nice bit of improvement in her for next season. She's out of a Sadler's Wells mare so should get a trip. I'm glad they raced anyway!"
