'Massive' Tower doubles Ballydoyle tally
Tower Rock showed the benefit of a run here a fortnight back to improve past two of his rivals that re-opposed in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Maiden at Navan. Seamie Heffernan was bringing up a double for Ballydoyle on the Dylan Thomas colt as they earlier had a winner with Frontier (Colm O'Donoghue). Macbeth and Diplomat finished fourth and fifth respectively behind Quote Of The Day here two weeks back but the sixth from that contest, Tower Rock led two furlongs out today and stayed on well under pressure to beat the aforementioned Diplomat and Macbeth by three parts of a length and a nose.
Heffernan said: "I fancied him to run well the last day but he was very green.
"He kept pulling out a bit today and he is a half-brother to Rumplestiltskin. Unlike her though he is massive."
