Massini Mighty at Downpatrick
Local trainer Colin McBratney saddled 11/10 favourite Mighty Massini to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Chase in the hands of Paddy Flood.
Flood raced the Dr Massini gelding in behind the leaders and the pair were left in front five fences from home when Oh So Humbel crashed out.
The pair kept on well despite a mistake at the last for a three parts of a length win over Johnny Kilawee
Winning trainer McBratney said afterwards: " Paddy was delighted with him today, he probably appreciated the better ground."
"He idled a little in front today. We've nothing planned yet. We'll probably go handicapping with him, I think there's a big handicap in him."
