There was a nice performance from the Duke Of Marmalade filly Steelyeyed to take the opening Fairyhouse Welcomes Competitors Of The Tattersalls International Horse Trials Claiming Race.
The chestnut kept finding from the front for Gary Halpin and at the end of the ten furlong event Pat Martin's representative held on by three parts of a length from Cul An Ti
Martin said: "She won well at Leopardstown and then things didn't happen for her at Navan and she ran a stinker at Roscommon.
"The favourite (Make It Hurrah) coming out was a help. She handles most types of ground and seems to stay that trip well. She's entered at Leopardstown next Thursday."
There were no claims in the aftermath.
