Point to point winner Martello Tower maintained his unbeaten record when winning the concluding race of the 2013 Punchestown Festival, the Peggy Barry-Walsh Memorial (Pro-Am) Bumper, for trainer Mags Mullins and her nephew Patrick Mullins.
Jockey Mullins was earlier presented with his sixth Champion Amateur Jockey Award and Martello Tower, which showed a good turn of foot in the straight, was his 63rd winner of the season.
Afterwards Mags Mullins stated “he won his point to point and is tough, stays and gallops. He'll make a lovely three miles horse and he handles that ground. He should be a nice novice over hurdles next season and will go out to grass now.”
