Denis Hogan's Make A Challenge fended off the favourite Master Matt after a prolonged battle in the concluding six-furlong handicap at the Curragh.
The 10/1 shot held a narrow advantage close home and passed the post a neck up.
The runner went off 7/2f while third-placed Aurora Eclipse (9/1) got to within half a length of that battle.
“That was brilliant. He travelled really well and did it nicely,” said jockey Joe Doyle.
“It seemed a bit sharp for him over six. I'd say there is a decent race in this horse and hopefully he can keep progressing.”
Make A Challenge arrived here on the back of two victories at the Galway Festival.
