Madden wins Ladbrokes.com Hurdle
Niall 'Slippers' Madden put in a good performance when he won The Ladbrokes.com Grade B Handicap Hurdle aboard the Noel Meade trained Fisher Bridge at odds of 20/1 for owners the P.R Syndicate making it a double on the day for the trainer.
Madden raced his mount in behind the leaders, improved to challenge travelling well 2 out and kept on well under a strong drive to hold off stable companion Silverhand under Luke McNiff.
Meade said afterwards, "He was disappointing on Sunday and we only declared him two minutes before the time for this race. He won two novice races and we always thought he was decent horse. He will possibly go to Punchestown and if not we'll put him away until Galway."
