Madden doubles up on Fahamore
The Eddie Harty trained Fahamore made a faultless transition to handicap company when winning the Guinness Handicap Hurdle at Limerick today, securing a double for winning jockey Niall Madden.
Madden, out of luck with Knockfierna in the featured Grade 2 novice chase (see earlier story), had earlier partnered Trifolium to an easy win and had things his own way again with Fahamore who easily scored by five and a half lengths from Whiskey Hall
Afterwards Harty stated “Fahamore’s form was good and was unlucky not to have won twice in his three earlier runs. He jumped a lot better than at Wexford and the extra trip helped too.
“He is only four and didn’t get an entry in the next week because I didn’t want to rush things with him – he’ll make a nice chaser in time.”
