Lyons doubles up with Ghetto Gospel
Ger Lyons completed a double this afternoon when Ghetto Gospel claimed the Come Racing on June 11th Handicap under an enterprising ride by Keagan Latham.
Latham kicked clear of his rivals from over two furlongs out and the pair kept on well to hold off the fast finishing East Of Tara by a length and a half.
Winning trainer Lyons said afterwards: "I thought the fourtheen pounds was very harsh the last day but he's come out and won again."
"He's improving all of the time and he got an excellent ride by Keagan [Latham]."
"The blinkers really helped him, it's not that he's ungenuine he's just a bit timid."
Lyon's earlier winnier came with Cosmic Breeze which took the opening race on this afternoon's card.
