Nero Tulip stamped his authority on the seven furlong apprentice nursery to give Ger Lyons a double at Dundalk.
The 7/4 favourite moved smoothly in third behind Papa K and Mr Globalist racing towards halfway. He was soon second entering the straight as Mr Globalist found life tougher.
The Night Of Thunder colt tanked past Papa K a furlong and a half down and skipped home by three and a quarter lengths.
Papa K had no answers in second at 17/2 but was three parts of a length in front of Chaos Control (7/1).
Assistant trainer Shane Lyons said: “That was very impressive. Sam (Ewing) gave him a great ride, a confident ride, and rode him like the best horse in the race as we thought he was.
“He's improving with every run and getting sharper.
“He's in the Birdcatcher (at Naas), we ran here worried that it might come up very soft there and he mightn't like it but Sam's confident he'll go with a cut in the ground so that will probably be his next start.”
Lyons also won the Listed Legacy Stakes with Geocentric
