Lynch & Solo Performer a great combo
Solo Performer made it career win number eight and his fifth at the track when landing the Follow Dundalk On Facebook Race under Andrew Lynch.
Now a seven-year-old, the Distant Music gelding avoided traffic problems whilst Flavia Tatiana certainly didn't. Solo Performer raced on to beat King's Trail (the veteran ex-Japan smart performer) by a length.
Harry Rogers, second with Cave Artist earlier, trains Solo Performer for Mrs Margot McGuinness and he said: "Andrew knows this horse well and always rides him in his work.
"He rode him here on Sunday in a bit of work and thought he'd nearly win tonight.
"Andrew is a hard worker and a good rider."
Lynch rode a winner on the level before - at Sligo (on Dr Knock for Michael McElhone in August 2007) - but this was his first victory on the polytrack.
The Stewards interviewed, A.E. Lynch rider of the winner Solo Performer concerning his use of the whip in the straight
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.E. Lynch had used his whip with excessive frequency and suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into account
