Eddie Lynam secured a 246.5/1 treble when strong-travelling Linus Larrabee delivered in the first division of the seven-furlong handicap at Dundalk.
All three winners were partnered by different jockeys as Sorcha Woods did the steering on Linus Larrabee (9/2).
The five-year-old gelding was absolutely tanking along for 7lb-claimer Woods as the pair made headway in the final couple of furlongs.
He was last to come off the bridle as Woods asked him for his effort racing to the final furlong. He soon picked up the lead and had enough in the tank to repel a surging 7/2 favourite Circles by a short head. Numoor was three parts of a length back in third at 7/1.
“He's a bit of a character, but Sorcha gave him a good confident ride. She comes in three mornings a week to ride out and I'm delighted for her,” said Lynam.
“She won on Tide Of Time earlier in the year and she's a trier.
“You've got to kid him a bit but he has a little bit about him, he's not devoid of ability.
“When he went by the line I thought he had definitely won, but then I thought it was tight enough.
“He's won a few here and has run a couple of good races lately, so I'm delighted.”
Lynam's other victories came through Gobi Star (5/1) ridden by Chris Hayes and Navarra Pace (13/2) with Joey Sheridan on board.
The Stewards interviewed K.J. Leonard, rider of Circles, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, K.J. Leonard admitted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines for frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that K.J. Leonard was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended K.J. Leonard for one raceday.
