The concluding Party Time Handicap Hurdle at Limerick went the way of Henry de Bromhead’s Low Lie The Fields under Hugh Morgan.
Morgan had a nice success for the stable here yesterday on Heather Rocco, but he’s been on the turf more than once too over the Christmas period, and this was a nice way to round off the few days.
In the words of Morgan Low Lie The Fields “jumped and travelled great everywhere,” for a yard that had second placings in big races at Leopardstown this afternoon with Minella Melody and Aspire Tower
After Low Lie The Fields had seen off Shar Whats Therush by three and three parts of a length the jockey further reflected: “He loved the ground and did it nicely.
“He’d shown some promise and it was a weak enough contest so he was entitled to do that. It was great to get his head in front.”
