Love too strong for Down Royal rivals
It was a case of more of the same for favourite backers in race two, the Dark Horse Auction Maiden, as another market leader prevailed by three and a half lengths, Act Of Love this time scoring under Colm O'Donoghue at Down Royal.
Owned and bred by Liam Queally, the victorious daughter of Acclamation raced in second behind the pace-setter Phoenix Dance she led two furlongs out and the contest was soon as good as over as she went on to account for Suspect Device
Act Of Love is trained by David Marnane and she had an auction price of €1,000. Oristown Jewel and Lady Holly presented plenty of trouble for their riders before the start here with the latter climbing out over a fence when loose in the preliminaries.
