The Tommy Stack trained Just Joan justified 9/10 favouritism in the Croom House Stud EBF Fillies Maiden at Listowel today, providing jockey Wayne Lordan with the second leg of a double.
The daughter of Derby winner Pour Moi endged past front-runner High Honcho in the closing stages for a three parts of a length win.
Stack’s son Fozzy Stack later stated “it was a winneable opportunity and she could go black-type hunting now; whether that is achievable or now we’ll find out.
“She’ll definitely step up in trip though.”
Lordan an hour and a half earlier dead-heated on the Austin Leahy trained Fox Dream in the opening juvenile maiden.
