Lola Beaux showed the benefit of her debut at Tipperary last month when taking the www.dundalkstadium.com Maiden.
The Jessica Harrington-trained filly and odds-on favourite General Marshall settled down to battle it out inside the final quarter mile, with Fran Berry’s mount getting on top in the closing stages.
The 5/2 chance, sporting the colours of Ladbrokes PR spokeswoman Hayley O’Connor, had three quarters of a length to spare at the line, with the front-running Zylan over four lengths further adrift in third.
Harrington said, “She stuck at it very well. She had the run in Tipperary and really got mugged that day as she was in front too long. This time she had something to run with and she did it well.
“I’m delighted to get that out of the way, and she will probably go for the C L Weld Stakes at the Curragh. She’s very straight forward and it’s great for Hayley.”
