Defining Year is fancied to step up on a promising debut at the Curragh last month, and has been backed from 10/1 in to half those odds with both Paddy Power and Ladbrokes for the opening 7f auction maiden.

The following mile maiden is also a juvenile contest, and Eagle Canyon and Nucals Star have both caused a stir in the shops this morning.

The Ballydoyle trained Eagle Canyon sets the standard here with his two previous placed runs, and has been supported from 4/1 into 9/4 with Powers.

Tommy Stack 's Nucals Star made the frame on his debut at Killarney last month, and has been slashed from 13/2 down to 9/2 with Victor Chandler.

Later on in the 6f handicap (3.55) Dundrum Dancer from the David Marnane yard has been backed from 16/1 down to just 9/1 with Paddy Power.
