- Lismakeery comes good

Lismakeery comes good
Champion Owner J.P. McManus completed as double at Wexford today when his previously thoroughly frustrating Lismakeery landed the Whitford House Hotel Beginners Chase for trainer Conor O’Dwyer and jockey Mark Walsh.
O’Dwyer later said “that’s my first winner for J.P but he’s had to have great patience with Lismakeery. It has been a long wait for today’s win.
“After he won his bumper in Clonmel, I thought I was being sent a star but he kept letting us down and has disappointed us the whole way along.
“He works great at home but just doesn’t reproduce it on the racecourse for whatever reason. I hope that can give him a bit of confidence now.”
