Limerick Double for Kiely
John Kiely, who had earlier saddled Carrigmoorna Storm to win, completed a double in the concluding Rockview (Q.R. Ladies) Mares Flat Race with the Katie Walsh partnered Liss Na Tintri
In the familiar Flynn silks, this Presenting filly had to battle hard to justify odds of 1/2, but she stayed on well along the rail to prevail over Sainte Baronne and Catching Coins by a neck and a head.
Kiely said: "That is the fifth generation from that family that I've had and they rarely let us down. From the earlier 50s we've been training horses from that line. We'll play it by ear and see how she is. She should make a great stud mare and she doesn't have to do that much more racing." (EM)
