The three mile handicap hurdle in Limerick boiled down to a match and it was Life Isfor Living (8/1) who saw it out best of all.
He was locked together with Stormy Judge at the second last but soon got the upper hand.
The six-year-old gelding was in charge jumping the last and increased the advantage, under Barry Browne, on the run-in to pass the post three and a half lengths to the good.
Stormy Judge had to settle for second at 11/1. He was, however, 34 lengths ahead of third-placed Castafiore Park (16/1).
Trainer Oliver McKiernan said: “Three miles really suits him and we were really only beginning to find that out here the last day. It was a competitive race but he won it well enough in the end.
“He loves the deep ground and is a genuine little horse. He has no real turn of foot but is bred to stay.”
