Leo Gali scores for Wachman
David Wachman and Wayne Lordan gained some compensation after just being touched off in the first when Leo Gali landed the Ivan Connaughton Auctioneer Fillies Maiden.
Lordan sent the 5/2 shot to the front from over one furlong out and the duo kept on strongly to score by a convincing two and a half lengths.
Winning trainer Wachman said afterwards: “She’s a nice filly. She had some good runs last year and she’s really improved this year.”
“We will now aim her at Stakes races.”
