Leighinmohr takes the opportunity to stay unbeaten
Carsonstown Bridge gets the last wrong & Leighinmohr is there to take advantage

A grandson of the 11-time scorer, Winning Nora, Leighinmohr has a way to go to reach that impressive tally but he made it three from three (all in different spheres) when beating outsider Carsonstown Bridge by a head in the opening Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick.
The word opportunity is quite applicable to describe Leighinmohr's success as he pounced on the mistake of Carsonstown Bridge at the last. A good battle ensued from there home with the victor under Ben Dalton just edging things 'at the death.' Market-leader Seriatim didn't seem to handle the track very well and had to settle for third place.
Ian Ferguson trains Leighinmohr, a Bennettsbridge 'point' winner & Musselburgh bumper scorer, for Ballymena Meats Partnership and he said: "He won a point-to-point last year and we took him to Musselburgh for better ground.
"We were going to go back over to Ayr but we got word that the ground was heavy there.
"He came out of Musselburgh really well and we wanted to run him again but he is more of a summer horse really.
"The ground there was on the slow side for him but he showed he can battle.
"Hopefully we can have fun with him over the summer." (GC & EM)
