Tooreen Legend bounced back to form to land the mile-and-a-half handicap at Gowran Park for Tommy Stack.
Billy Lee 's mount tracked the front-running Timjoe before hitting the front passing the two furlong marker.
He was asked for an effort over a furlong from home and kept on well in the closing stages to post a three-parts of a length victory over the fast finishing Notable Graduate
The 9/1 winner had faded tamely at Galway last time but had run well on his previous outing when just losing out at the Curragh.
“He wants very fast ground and that's the bottom line to him,” said Fozzy Stack.
“We'll probably be looking to go to Dundalk with him but it won't be easy to find a race now.
“If the ground stays quick he might go to Listowel for something like the Slan Abhaile.”
