Keagan Latham put in good performance when getting up in the closing stages to land the Carroll Estates Home Builders Claiming Race aboard Royal Entourage for his boss Ger Lyons.

Brother of the winning trainer Shane Lyons said afterwards: “The horse was hanging in the closing stages as the rail gets very narrow close to the line. He’d appreciate a little bit further maybe another 2 furlongs.”

“He deserved that win as he has been very unlucky with bad ground and bad runs and like all of our horses he needs good ground.”

“He will make a lovely jumper for someone that’s his game next. Vincent Gaul the owner is a great patron for us and we’re delighted the horse won for him.”
