Lastofthemohicans takes last
The concluding race on this afternoon’s card, the Weatherbys Racecards Maiden was won by the Aidan O’Brien trained Lastofthemohicans in the hands of Sean Levey.
Levey settled his mount in mid-division and came with his run entering the straight.
The pair kept on strongly to take up the lead from over a furlong and a half out to record a two and a half length win over stablemate Clearwater bay.
Last season's Point to Point Leading Handler Colin Bowe saddled newcomer Misspublican to win the concluding Waterforrd & Tramore Directors Mares Bumper at Tramore today.
Ridden by Barry O'Neill, the daughter of Overbury battled well to hold the challenge of Kim Tian Road and Johny's Lantern for a neck and short head win.
Afterwards Bowe stated “Misspublican is a full sister to Publican and is a well bred filly. We'll try for a winners' bumper now and she goes on any ground except heavy.”
