Madeleine Tylicki recorded her first winner on the Flat, as the well-backed Fascinating Lady landed the BBQ Evening August 16th At Gowran Park Handicap.
Previously trained by Ger Keane, the daughter of Fast Company had her first start for Tylicki in April, and was second to Old Time Waltz on her most recent start at Naas.
Available at 15/2 this morning, she opened on-course at 6s, touching 9/2, before going off favourite at 5/1.
Settled behind the leaders on the outer by Billy Lee, she was pushed along to challenge from over two furlongs out and soon hit the front.
She drifted left under pressure inside the final furlong, but still came home with half a length to spare over the fast finishing Nothing To Lose
The runner-up was returned at 11/2 under Shane Foley for John McConnell, while Goodnite Irina (9/1) was another length away in third for Wayne Lordan and Pat Martin.
"She's a lovely filly and very straight forward to train. She's been progressing all the time," said Tylicki.
"I also have her full-brother (Sirjack Thomas), a two-year-old colt, in training and he ran on Sunday. He's a lovely horse to look forward to.
"I'm absolutely delighted for the owner Noel Harten as the horses mean a lot to him. It's a good day today.
"That's my first winner on the Flat. I had to be patient but finally we got it and I'm absolutely delighted.
"We have plenty to look forward to. We've a lot of young horses coming along at home and one or two that stand out. I've a small team but I think we have some quality there that is yet to run."
