Kuraka (evens) justified favouritism in style in the Follow Limerick On Twitter Maiden Hurdle.
They came for Kellyiscool in the market (5/1 into 5/2) but he could manage only fourth place as the Denis O'Regan-ridden Kuraka dominated up front.
Gordon Elliott has a greyhound in the very valuable Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Final tomorrow night at the nearby Greenpark, Dock Road track — trap 1 Master Jingles — and he trains Kuraka for his partner in that fellow, Caren Walsh.
Mrs Walsh is into Kuraka with Susan Frost. Kuraka races in the Frost colours.
The 'jolly' eased away over the closing couple of flights to put eleven lengths between himself and Ilikedwayurthinkin
This was an altogether better result for the Elliott team after their Falak slipped up and brought down stable companion Isle Of Destiny in an horrific looking incident in the opener.
"He's a grand dual purpose horse. It wasn't the strongest race in the world, and on his run at Leopardstown he was entitled to win it," said Elliott.
"He's a good fun horse and will do his job grand."
