Knock Stars gives Martin his biggest pot
Pat Martin's Knock Stars won the ultra-competitve Birdcatcher Nursery at Naas under Padraig Beggy by three parts of a length at odds of 8/1.
The prize of 45,500 euro was trainer Martin's biggest prize to date. He said: "She can be hot at home but is straightforward when she comes to the course.
"Padraig (Beggy) said she picked up well and that she almost got to the front too soon today.
"She has improved a lot seeing as we couldn't win a claimer with her earlier in the season. She would stay seven furlongs."
20/1 shot Sydney Harbour was the runner-up with Tell The Wind third and Truly Genius fourth.
