Kitten has Weld and Smullen purring
Trainer Dermot Weld and stable jockey Pat Smullen combined for a double at Cork today, when Honey Of A Kitten made all to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.
The son of Kitten’s Joy made all and eventually saw off the challenge of Warning Flag to win by a neck.
Afterwards Smullen reported “Honey Of A Kitten stayed on well at Galway and had previously contested a good maiden at The Curragh on his debut. It took a while for the penny to drop with him but I was happy to lead from the front with him today.”
